About the Artist
Between Science and Art
Nurlan Temirbekovich Dzhainakbaev
Surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Rector of the Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Academy of Clinical and Fundamental Medicine, laureate of the International competition "Scientist of the Year" from Oxford Academic Union. Colonel of the Medical Service.
Born in 1963 in the city of Dzhambul (now Taraz), resides in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
As one of the founders of transport medicine and disaster medicine in Kazakhstan and the CIS, Nurlan Temirbekovich brings medical precision and attentiveness into the world of painting, revealing the nature of both nature and humanity, transforming the canvas into a MedArt space where medicine supports the Body, and art gives freedom to the Soul.
The Philosophy of MedArt
The unique philosophy of MedArt — a synthesis of medical knowledge and artistic vision — is embodied in the work of the artist, doctor, and scientist, revealing the "anatomy" of the world.
The rivers and mountains, fields and meadows, the sun and the faces of the people of Kazakhstan seem to form a single ecosystem, a living organism of the Cosmos, where every brushstroke conveys the artist's perspective.
At dawn, we feel clarity, inhale the freshness of vast spaces and landscapes, and at sunset, we notice the smallest details of the fading day, the tranquility of darkening horizons, and the wisdom of completion before a new beginning of the next cycle...
Palette of the Native Land
The native land attracts and envelops: the viewer feels the warmth of summer, the ringing freshness of winter frost, the youthful clarity of spring, and the generous bounty of autumn. Each brushstroke conveys the artist's deep, attentive gaze. The world reflected in his canvases is full of colors—and not just in terms of watercolor or oil… Life in these paintings is a cycle of vivid memories, quiet pauses, and rich narratives, in which the true rhythm of time can be heard.
Still Lifes and Portraits
Still lifes invite you to sit at the table, feel the warmth of home and the generosity of the Kazakh land. Each object is painted with attention to detail, conveying not only its form but also its soul.
Portraits allow us to listen to the stories of lived destinies. The faces of the heroes carry the wisdom of generations, the strength of character, and the quiet dignity of the people of Kazakhstan. The artist captures not just the outward resemblance, but the inner essence of a person — their joys, experiences, and dreams.
The Cycle of Seasons in Landscapes
These canvases transport us to the picturesque world of Almaty's Terrenkur, capturing its transformations through the different seasons. Each painting is a separate chapter in nature's story, full of vibrant colors and deep emotions.
Spring
The freshness of nature awakening, the birth of new spatial energies, the beginning of another annual cycle…
Summer
Green expanses and the generosity of sunny days allow one to absorb the mood of heat, shaded rest, and happiness…
Autumn
The richness of colors of fading warmth, the tranquility of completion, the fullness of achievements, and confidence in gathered gifts…
Winter
The ringing freshness of frosty air, peace and quiet with the deeply hidden nascent energy of spring streams…
The recurring cycles of nature's life, the mortality of human life as a physical organism, yet the promise of the soul's immortality are felt when encountering the art of Nurlan Timerbekovich, embedded within the eternal cycles of the Universe…
Invitation to the Exhibition
Each canvas is a dialogue between science and art, body and soul, man and nature. Come and see how surgical precision reveals the poetry of the world and meets artistic inspiration. This exhibition is a reminder of how subtly nature is arranged and how subtly man is also arranged in the connection of body, mind, and spirit. The work of Nurlan Dzhainakbaev, a scientist, doctor, and artist, invites us all to pause for a moment, to look closely at the world around us, and to discover its hidden harmony and the unity of man and nature against the backdrop of Kazakhstan, his native land.
